PR Manager

Role

Reporting to the Director of marketing and communications, the PR Manager is responsible for establishing the national PR strategy, leading campaigns, and developing strong relationships with key journalists and influencers. Acting as the voice of the company and the brands we represent, the PR manager is also in charge of the communications, partnerships, and events related to the PR campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Elaborate PR, influencers, and events strategies for the Dandurand Group portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with top-tier journalists and influencers (lifestyle, wine and spirits).
  • Create and leverage powerful PR and communication tools with a custom approach for each brand.
  • Bring to life and lead the activation of PR, influencers paid partnerships, and charity campaigns.
  • Develop and lead event campaigns: establishing the concept, leading the activation with the market teams, developing all the required tools, and participating to key events.
  • Extract trendy topics and actionable insights from editorial monitoring.
  • Set KPIs for campaigns, monitor, share measurable results and actionable recommendations via post-mortem and periodic reports.
  • Develop benchmarks, PR tools, and a strong understanding of the market, brands, and influencers.
  • Plan the deliveries of product samples to journalists and influencers.
  • Keep up with the latest trends and keep track of competition.
  • Budget management and other administrative tasks.

Education and experience

  • Five (5) years or more of experience in a similar role managing public relations, communications campaigns and/or PR events.
  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communication or equivalent.
  • Perfectly bilingual (French and English) written and spoken.
  • WSET diploma and passion for wines are a strong asset.
  • Experience with Meltwater and Klear platforms are an important asset.
  • Experience working with multiple brand guidelines is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint).
