Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Territory Manager will be responsible for the implementation of the territorial sales plan to maximize sales volume and product distribution in Newfoundland.


  • Act as the lead contact and liaison with NLC Head Office with support from the Director of Sales
  • Lead the administration and data input of the EPAC system with NLC Head Office
  • Achieve sales targets and generate sales growth in respective territory across all NLC stores and distribution channels
  • Develop sales strategies and tactics based on advice, customer feedback and the market environment
  • Proactively identify and engage in opportunities to grow business, add value and keep our brands top of mind
  • Manage designated budgets on a daily basis to grow business
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of our products, the competitive landscape and the customer’s business
  • Manage route plans and account visits to accomplish daily tasks within workday
  • Manage business related expenses and providing feedback on spending activities
  • Forecast volume estimates for account purchases utilizing sales data
  • Participate in supplier visits, trade events, marketing blitz programs, and consumer events, all of which may fall outside of normal business hours

Education and experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of experience in a sales role
  • Experience in the alcoholic beverage industry (strong asset)
  • WSET certification (strong asset)


  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of CRM tools
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and dynamic leadership capabilities
  • Excellent communication capabilities
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to attend evening and weekends events Own a car and a valid driver’s license
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and respect tight deadlines
  • Completed training in the wine industry (WSET) is a strong asset
