M. Chapoutier

The words that best characterize Maison M. Chapoutier appear on their crest and have become the family motto: "Fac et spera" – Latin for "do and hope". These two words embody all the passion and courage demanded by the profession of winemaking.

M. Chapoutier: a passion for wine

"Wine is born from heaven, earth, and love." This quote by Monsieur Chapoutier embodies the company’s entire philosophy regarding production, as well as the quality of the wines that result.

Since 1808, the Maison has produced exceptional wines from the Rhone Valley, Alsace, and now Lauguedoc-Roussillon. Many appellations are produced with reverence for the balance of nature and the terroirs, such as Hermitage, Cote Rotie, Chateauneuf du Pape, Saint-Joseph, Crozes Hermitage and Luberon.

M. Chapoutier respects every consumer, whether novice or informed amateur. As a result, the local wines are crafted with the same seriousness and beliefs as the most prestigious wines.
