Coast to Coast

With offices in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver, Dandurand maintains relationships with Canada’s various alcohol monopolies as well as the market’s main influencers. What’s more, Dandurand provides its partners with an experienced sales team in all ten provinces.

Always ahead of his time, Philippe Dandurand skillfully developed his business and made his mark on Canada’s wine market.

In 50 years, the small Montreal start-up has become a national company—growing from its very first clients (including Georges Duboeuf) to 35 of the most prestigious clients in the world of wine & spirits.

Philippe Dandurand is always ready to go out into the field to gain a better understanding of his clients’ and suppliers’ expectations, change attitudes and advance the market—not only to meet today’s needs but to anticipate tomorrow’s.

With 5 shareholders, Philippe Dandurand directs a small Montreal agency specialized in importing wines.

With the help of wine producers, he buys the company and becomes its president and sole shareholder.

Philippe Dandurand Wines acquires an Ontario agency that affords him the opportunity to expand his activities into Ontario and the Maritime Provinces

The company goes national, with offices in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver

Philippe Dandurand plans his business succession: his daughter, Caroline Dandurand, becomes the company’s shareholder.

With the positions of both vice-president of sales and vice-president of marketing under his belt, Hugues Gauthier becomes the new company president. That same year, Philippe Dandurand Wines reaches the 2-million-case mark.

The company acquires a corporate structure with the creation of a board of directors chaired by Philippe Dandurand.

Philippe Dandurand Wines hits the 100-employee mark.

Philippe Dandurand Wines reaches 3.5 million imported cases, and offers its clients the first private transactional site for purchasing imported wines in Canada.

Philippe Dandurand Wines marks 50 years in business by becoming “Dandurand.

A shared vision and commitment

For several years, Philippe Dandurand has been a member of the Lise Watier Foundation board, an organization whose mission it is to help women develop their full social and economic potential and escape volatile situations. He also actively supports the Fondation Papillon pour les enfants handicapés du Québec et la Fondation Père Sablon, an organization that supports young people from all walks of life, helping them achieve their goals through sports and the outdoors.
