Spain

Spain boasts a wide range of indigenous grape varieties. The most well-known among them is Tempranillo, a black grape that produces a whole host of flavours. Thanks to a mix of climates, the country’s terroirs are distinct, resulting in a vast array of wines.

Bodegas Williams & Humbert

The history of Bodegas Williams & Humbert dates back nearly 130 years. Through the years, they have contributed to the creation of the Jerez-Xérès-Brandy appellation and is now considered one of the world's most prestigious producers.

A family matter

The company was founded in 1877 by Sir Alexander Williams, a great admirer and connoisseur of sherry products, and Arthur Humbert, a specialist in international relations. In the 1960s, members of the Medina family, José, Nicolas, Jesus and Ángel, created their own winery under the name of José Medina y Compania.

Their latest acquisition was that of the international group Williams & Humbert, which today lends its name to all the family’s business activities. Williams & Humbert is a close-knit, professional family business that evolves every day according to tradition, with the primary goal of satisfying the needs of its clients.
