Filippo and Maria Casella first began making wine in the town of Yenda, Australia. With their warm and festive approach, their unique philosophy that aims to demystify wine has proven successful, and new generations of the Casella family continue to operate the business. 

A family success

With his family’s history of winemaking dating back to 1820, Filippo was quick to recognize the tremendous potential of the Riverina region in New South Wales. In 1969, he purchased land near Yenda township outside Griffith and the Casella family winery was born.

The company's goal is simple: to create affordable wines that are easy to select, easy to appreciate and easy to understand, which can be shared with friends or family. This innovative approach has enabled the company to significantly boost its renown, and today, the bottle with the famous yellow kangaroo is sold throughout the world.
